<![CDATA[Country Bible Church - Pastoral Updates]]>Sun, 04 Oct 2026 23:04:27 -0500Weebly<![CDATA[Dissertation Work]]>Sun, 02 Feb 2025 20:15:23 GMThttps://www.cbcwallace.org/pastoral-updates/dissertation-workPastor Dave has been working toward his Doctor of Ministry degree for several years. He has completed all his coursework and is now focusing on his dissertation—a six-chapter academic paper (100–150 pages) that integrates biblical research and leadership principles to address a practical ministry opportunity. His dissertation explores biblical counseling and how our church can better understand and apply it, potentially leading to a formal biblical counseling ministry.

Pastor Dave is at a crucial stage in his writing and needs to make significant progress over the next month. To support him, the elders have temporarily taken on most of his ministry responsibilities so he can devote time to this important work throughout February.

Please pray that he is able to complete his dissertation and that this project will bear lasting fruit for our church. If you have any questions or need pastoral care, please contact one of our elders: Robin Newlin, Mike McMahon, or Tim Hill.

]]><![CDATA[Sunday, November 22]]>Fri, 20 Nov 2020 21:44:22 GMThttps://www.cbcwallace.org/pastoral-updates/sunday-november-22We have an abundance of illness in our church, including several who have tested positive for the coronavirus. Because of this, we will be cancelling our services at the church this Sunday, November 22nd.

We will still hold Discipleship Hour on Zoom. That will begin at 9:15 and we will be going through Psalm 23. You can access Discipleship Hour here:

Sundays are a gift from God. He wisely established public gatherings to refresh us in His Word, and with His people. Since we will not gather this Sunday, we encourage you to take some time to be refreshed in God’s Word. You might have a time of family worship, watch another church service online, or maybe read through a book of the Bible.

If you have any needs at all, please reach out to us: https://www.cbcwallace.org/help.html
